So you’re in your final few months of your pregnancy, and your friends and family decide to throw you an amazing baby shower. Of course you’re all excited, but you have absolutely no idea what to wear to dress the mighty basketball bump that is now staring you in the face, so you draw for your sweatpants that has now become your most favourite comfortable item of clothing in the entire world. Fortunately, it doesn’t need to go that way. You don’t have to give up entirely on your fashionable side, as there are so many stylish options out there when it comes to dressing your baby bump where you don’t have to sacrifice your comfort. For expectant mothers, a baby shower means celebrating the birth of your child, and so looking your best for the occasion is a definite plus, as you also celebrate the beauty of being pregnant.
I have created three stylish looks for the mom-to-be to wear on the special day that are not only chic, but also very cool and comfortable.
Maxi dresses are always a suitable option for pregnant women because they are very loose and flowy. This bandeau style maxi dress is very light and has enough space for your bump. Add in a few accessories like this 8 Other Reasons Rifle Necklace, chain link earrings, snakeskin foldover clutch, and a pair of Hypnosi sandals in yellow. Complete with a yellow mani and a light smokey eye look.
This second look is probably my favourite of the three. I am madly in love with this printed Forever New Harmony Halter Maxi Dress. Add in a few gold accessories like these gold rings, simple hoop earrings, and a gold bangle set. Throw on a pair of these Rachel Zoe sandals, a yellow shoulder bag, and go for a pink lip.
This final look is for the moms who aren’t necessarily into maxi dresses and wish to stay with their denim. The black maternity ‘Leigh’ jeans carries a stretchy band which is suitable for all stages of your pregnancy.
Denim tops are all the rage right now, and this light wash denim top will keep you on point with the trend. Keeping this look simple, add a pair of stud earrings, a red floral crown, a pair of red flats, and for a little pattern in the mix, a leopard print bag.
